2022 Community Service and Educational Trip — Arizona

We are so glad to announce that after 2 years, we will be resuming our annual community service and educational trips.

This year, for the community service component of the trip, we will venture to Window Rock, Arizona, and stay on the Diné Navajo Reservation where there is no running water or electricity. The Diné Navajo will be performing their annual Sun Dance ceremony which involves the community gathering together for spiritual cleansing and healing. OTW participants will cook meals for the elders, drummers, and firekeepers and perform other tasks as needed.

For the educational component of the trip, we will visit other parts of Arizona, hike in multiple National Parks, including the Grand Canyon, and attend a cultural event.

NOTE: We will be fundraising for this event at the 43rd Annual Fairfax Festival and OTW participants will be paying the balance of their individual trip expenses on their own.
