FREE Women’s Writing Workshop

  • 1510 Mission Avenue (Enter through parking lot and walk up stairs) San Rafael, CA, 94901 (map)

(Open to Young Women ages 16-26 in Marin County)

Join us for this FREE, 8-week writing workshop in which we'll use poetry, prose and letters as tools to
turn our pain into strengths. Like kintsugi—the Japanese art of gluing broken pottery pieces together with gold—we'll capture shards of our past onto paper. Instead of burying or hiding our scars, we'll use words to showcase our wounds and figure out how they are integral to our stories in ways that make us resilient. We'll read our stories to each other and publish them in a newsletter.

Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. beginning June 5th.

Instructor: Ronnie Cohen, freelance journalist and writer.

RSVP Required: Space is limited. Please contact us at info@openingtheworld.org or (415) 419-9695.
